The topic for this month's Paperwings Blog Hop is Masculine. Heiroglyphic Horses is the perfect set for a guy's card! Here I paired it with TAC's Hip Hop paper collection. The Happy Birthday greeting is from Trendy Greetings.
Be sure to check out all of the other Masculine cards - here is the list of all the participants! All blogs should be updated by 8:00 pm on Sunday May 16!

Wedding Blog Hop
White, pink, and black are the colors for my Wedding Card! I used our Marvelous Mottos stamp set to congratulate the bride and groom! The stamp is enhanced with pink Copic Markers and is nestled inside 2 layers of Nestabilities. And notice the brads in the 4 corners of the Nestabilities label too!
So that's my Wedding Card. Now check out the cards from the rest of our participants!

Speaking Pirate
I ben surfin' th' net t' find ou' why swashbucklers, skulls, an' crossbones be so popular today! Modern swashbucklers continue t' cause havoc on th' high seas an' be a dangerous lot t' be sure.
Perhaps th' "Shipmates o' th' Caribbean" movies be havin' contributed t' our fascination wi' swashbucklers an' the'r symbols.
I certainly found pages an' pages o' swashbuckler related items on ETSY when I created this Shipmate Treasury!

Polka Dots Anyone?
So today I was back in the craft cave! However, I actually made something for myself! Yeah! I decided it was time to make myself a new purse. So, as I was sorting through patterns and my fabric stash I came across this pink and black polka dot fabric! So after ironing, cutting, stitching, quilting, and constructing the fabric was transformed into this purse!!
I quilted the purse with straight line quilting following the same angle used to join the two pieces of fabric.
I used both the pink and the black fabric for the inside lining as I couldn't decided on just one!
The grommets were an exercise in faith. You actually need to cut out a circle through all the layers in order to assemble the grommets! But they turned out really well and I love that they are large enough you can actually see through them!
I'm hoping to make a matching wallet in the near future so stay tuned for that post!

Popup Notecards
Here is a new twist on Popup Cards - popup 3 x 3 notecards! The popup brace is made just like you make them for A2 cards but on a smaller scale!
I first stamped "Happy Easter" from Trendy Greetings on a circle and then layered it on 2 layers of scalloped circles. The top circle also has a gem and Turquoise Scrappers Floss!
Then I used Joy of Easter stamp set for the popups in the 3x3 notecards. Here are a couple of my favorites: the lamb and the chick in the jar!
Notice that I added the coordinating Catelynne designer paper to the inside of the white cardstock to better "pop" the pop-up !
I used our Copic Markers for the coloring! I continue to fall in love with how well they color and blend! I still have a long ways to go in being proficient with them, but it's a start!

March Blog Hop - Easter
What a wonderful today! The sun was out - a welcome site after a week of rain and grey skies. It was warm - well into the 50's! Spring is indeed on its way! There is only a hint of the snowy winter that we have had - just a bit of snow left in protected areas. And best of all, I got to spend the day with my dear sister!
It is time once again for another blog hop with friends and fellow Angel Company demonstrators. The theme for this months blog hop is Easter.
I created another gatefold card using the Joy of Easter stamp, Copics, and the Catelynne paper collection from The Angel Company. The Joy of Easter stamp set is certainly one of my favorites these days!

And now, take a look at the other creations. They all should be available after 8:00 pm (Central Time) on Sunday, March 14! Have fun...

Carrot Car and Mini Easter Basket!
This gatefold card is easy to score on the Scor-Pal (a great half price item for a hostess, too). Just find the 2 dots on the Scor-Pal ruler and you have the perfect markings for a gatefold card!
I have also been playing with my copics (another great 1/2 price item) and am just delighted with how the "carrot car" from the Joy of Easter stamp set turned out. I have lots of fun experimenting with the copic markers to see how they turn out. And besides, this little duck and the carrot car is just the cutest thing around!
Also from the Joy of Easter stamp set, is this adorable little chick in the jar. It is a perfect fit for this Mini Easter Basket that I found on Diana's Designs, a fellow TAC demonstrator! Copics are the coloring medium on this too!

Time for Some Green!
For my card I used the Hip Hop Collection, Labels Large Nestabilities, and Trendy Greetings. It is a simple card - can you tell I ran out of time and went the card-in-less-10minutes route? But I do love these little frogs in Hip Hop! For the background I used the same Trendy Greeting stamp, stamped off on a piece of scratch paper and then stamped the cardstock for a lighter impression.
And enjoy the other Green cards from fellow Angels...

Reusable Snack Bags with Angel Wings ...
Some of you may have seen (or even own) my Reusable Snack Bags featured in my AndMoreBags ETSY site. Today, I am super excited to announce that I have designed a Reusable Snack Bag that combines both my ink and rubber passion with my fabric and thread passion!
The outer fabric is 100% cotton and is stamped with one of our Palette Inks using stamps from The Angel Company. The inner fabric is water resistant nylon. A strip of velcro extends across the entire opening. This secures the opening, as well as, keeps your goodies inside! And, all seams are enclosed!
Wipe out the inside with a damp cloth. You can also wash on a gentle cycle and air dry.
The snack bags measure approx. 7 x 4 1/4" with an opening of 6 1/4".
I am selling these 2 for $8 plus $1.75 shipping. Just let me know which Palette Ink you would like when submitting the order. Time from order payment via PayPal to shipment will be about a week. Questions - just email me at stamp2stamp2@yahoo.com.

Inspire Your Heart with Art Day - January 31
Everyday there is something to celebrate, even January 31! Did you know that January 31 is "Inspire Your Heart with Art" day? Because art inspires your heart, your mind, and your soul, this day is all about experiencing and appreciating all of the art in your life. Be sure to check out these 3 fantastic artists! And as you look through their collections ask yourself "What are these pieces telling me? How do they make me feel?" "What emotions do their works bring to the surface?"
First is Robin Maria Pedrero. Robin is acknowledged for her luminous and captivating work. She is an established award winning artist and has been widely published in magazines, newspapers, documentaries, and news broadcasts. Robin makes magic with color! One of my favorite paintings of Robin's is Grazing Beneath a Garnet Sky because it reminds me of simpler times.
Next is Julie A. Brown of Wabi Brook Studio. Her hand-crafted designs reflect the beautifully simple organic shapes and colors of nature. Julie's art demonstrates her respectful celebration of this wonderful planet and the creatures that live on it. She frequently uses materials that are re-claimed and re-cycled, so that you can embrace your love of the land with nature-inspired, eco-friendly, fine art and artisan jewelery. I especially like her Heading Home Black and White Photograph. As a child, I always wanted a horse (never got one though). They are beautiful, majestic creatures!
Kristen Stein is an award-winning Contemporary Artist living in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region. Kristen creates a wide-range of contemporary styles suitable for all rooms in the house. Her original paintings, handmade crafts, and framed prints are a must see. Check out one of her latest paintings - Autumn Tree Landscape Painting. Fall is my favorite season and Kristen's trees remind me all that is good with nature!

Valentines Blog Hop!
Tonight is the beginning of another blog hop with fellow Angels. The theme this time around is Valenetines! Hard to believe, but it is just around the corner!
The three projects that I did all use our Uptown Girl coordinated papers, Date Disks, and two of our stamps from the Stamp Spree Promotion - Little Darlins and Furry Friends. Scrappers floss, of course, also embellishes the projects.
Both of the candy boxes use acetate. I used the Cricut to cut the candy box with the heart - love that die cut machine!! The clear acetate box was inspired by this tutorial! And the 3 x 3 notecard - well, it is a 3 x 3 notecard - no more, no less!
Both the owls and the puppy dog were colored with Copics. I'm still learning how to use them but really do like them!

Need a Dog Collar?
I have fond memories of the dogs that I grew up - mostly collies but I remember a terrier too. The terrier didn't like being an outside dog. He spent every night jumping up on the front door waiting to be let in. But no such luck; but oh was he persistent! There was the puppy that joined us for only a few days as he was run over - a sad, sad day - especially for a little girl who adored him. I loved romping with the dogs when I was outside playing and pretending and imagining the world beyond our small community.Even though I have no dogs at the moment, I find myself drawn to Suzanne's web site and ETSY store. Her collars are adorable, are available in a wide range of colors, and she has them for small dogs and big dogs. This black lab is modeling one of her most recent creations! Now isn't this the perfect Valentine's gift for you favorite 4 legged friend!

Minnesota Green
I grabbed a Treasury West today!
The challenging part of grabbing a treasury is being on the ETSY Treasury page when it opens up! Once that is done, then I decide on a theme which kicks off the fun part: hunting for items that match the theme. Sometimes the theme is a color, like this one. Sometimes it is an object, like buttons or cars or guitars.
I try to alternate the treasuries between the ETSY teams that I belong to. Occasionally, I will also create them without a specific team in mind.
Minnesota Green is for the HandmadeMN Street Team! As you can tell from this treasury we have a wide variety of artists in this team! Look at the prints, the napkins, the potholders, the jewelery, the bags, the scarf, and the reusable lunch and snack bags. If you are from Minnesota please consider joining the team.
I hope you have time to visit the shops included in this treasury. I know everyone would enjoy some company!

Ceramic Tiles
The tiles are those shiny white tiles that you can get at any home improvement store! The paper in the first set of coasters is from More Mimi and the second set features Mia's Cottage! I have a few more partially done using not only scrapbook paper, but also pictures from books. I will be listing them on my RitasCreations ETSY site in a few days. I'm starting to look at paper - new and old - in a much different light now that I've discovered ceramic tiles!
I have found more than a few ways to work with ceramic tile and have yet to decide on a favorite technique. So here are some of the resources that I have found as I venture down this creative path!

A New Year for AndMoreBags
I have started to feature Reusable Sandwich and Snack Bags in my shop and they have been a hit! They are constructed from cotton fabric, nylon, and velcro. Some have been grabbed soon after they were listed - and Etsian's dream for sure! I have coffee themed snack bags, wild animal themed snack bags, and some pink and black ones to name a few. My favorite one to-date is this coffee themed set - I like the browns, the blues, and the greens! Be sure to stop by the shop to see the full offering! I will be adding more this weekend so stop by often!.
During the upcoming weeks, I will be adding more resusable/go green types of products to the shop so watch for the unveiling of more new products! In the meantime, I would also like to share with you some of my favorite shops that reuse, recycle, and/or upcycle!
Tamara Garvey uses recycled kraft lunchbag-esque envelopes for her boxed notecard sets!

Recycled comics are an integral component for the wallets found at Japip!

And I love this pendant that is made from recycled vintage buttons by Kellybot!
